Indalo Bull Hong Kong Pairs League
All games will be played in line with the Laws of the Sport of Bowls.
The format is of “ Hong Kong Pairs “ ie : 2 – 4 - 2
Pairs can be of any combination.
Pairings may consist of bowlers of any handicap combination.
All games will be played over 18 ends.
2 points will be awarded for a win and 1pt for a draw. If there is a tie to decide the winner in each division then shot difference will count, and in the unlikely event of there still being a tie then the result of the game between the 2 teams concerned will count to decide the group winners.
The semi-finals shall be contested by the winners of groups: A v C & B v D
In each game, the team with the lowest team handicap will be given the difference between their team handicap and their opponent’s team handicap as a shot difference “head start”. e.g. Team A’s joint handicap is 11 and Team B’s joint handicap is 10. Then team B will have 1 shot on the board before commencement of the game. The winners will be the team with the most number of shots after 18 ends.
Two trial ends are allowed.
If an end is “killed,” ie: the jack goes out of the rink of play, then the jack will be
re-spotted on the crosses either side of the tee.
There are no restrictions on visiting the head.
Substitutes can be from any handicap category, the scorecard shows the combined handicap of the original team, if a substitute of a different handicap is used then the
combined handicap for that team must be adjusted before commencement of the match.
If a team is not available to commence play 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, the match will be awarded to the opposition.
