All games will be played in line with the laws of the sport of bowls.

The format is “Hong Kong Pairs” format ( ie: 2 - 4 - 2 ).

Teams can be of any combination.

All games will be played over 18 ends.

Pairs can be of any combination.

Pairings may consist of bowlers of any handicap combination.

All games will be played over 18 ends.

2 points will be awarded for a win and 1pt for a draw.  If there is a tie to decide the winner in each division then shot difference will count, and in the unlikely event of there still being a tie then the result of the game between the 2 teams concerned will count to decide the group winners.

The final shall be contested by the winners of groups:  A  v  B.

At the completion of 18 ends in the final, then skips shall toss for the mat and play a sudden death end to decide the winner.

In each game, the team with the lowest team handicap will be given the difference between their team handicap and their opponent’s team handicap as a shot difference “head start”.  Example: If Team A’s joint handicap is 11 and Team B’s joint handicap is 10, team B will have 1 shot on the board before the commencement of the game.  The winners will be the team with the most number of shots after 18 ends.

Two trial ends are allowed.

If an end is “killed,” ie: the jack goes out of the rink of play, then the end will be replayed.

There are no restrictions on visiting the head.

Substitutes can be from any handicap category, the scorecard shows the combined handicap of the original team, if a substitute of a different handicap is used then the combined handicap for that team must be adjusted before the commencement of the match.

If a team is not available to commence play 15 minutes after the scheduled start time,  the match will be awarded to the opposition.
